Hyperlinking

You were trying to hyperlink based on how it's done on some forums or whatever else. To make a "Steam Profile" text link to your steam profile when clicked, you would do [URL Steam Profile] (notice the space). Single brackets for external URLs, with a space separating the URL and the text displayed. Double brackets for internal URLs, with a pipe separating the article name (and sometimes namespace) from the text displayed. For example: [[Eaglefire|Clothing]].
