TypeGeographic landmark

Mount Nivek is the tallest mountain in Russia, located on its own island. The mountain can be found to the northeast of Moscow. Although no man-made bridges or paths connect the two landmasses together, there is a natural formation of rocks that can be traversed in order to reach the mountain island without swimming. A radio tower can be found at the peak of the mountain, which offers the highest vantage point in Russia when climbed.

A small campsite can be found beneath the mountain, along the shingle beach.

Trivia

  • The mountain is a reference to the city of Nalchik.
