Undocumented changes

  • Updated the version number to 4.19.1.0.
  • The engine was upgraded to Unreal Engine 4.21.1.
  • Replaced the Vehicle Landscape map with Blastlane and the Firing Range.
  • Added a placeholder main menu screen, with a map select screen.
  • Upgraded all the user interface elements, and moved a bulk of the multi-widget UI into Slate.
  • Improved items to be more editor friendly and extensible.
  • Two-player split-screen is supported.
  • Added display options resolution and display mode, and options for field of view, an FPS limit, key bindings, input options, anti-aliasing, and field of view. Input options and key bindings can assigned per-profile, and different profiles can be used by different players during split-screen. Settings can be reset back to default.
  • Updated the character model with a new mesh, skeleton, and animations. The final rendition of the player character model has similar limb length to the character model used in Unturned (version 3), but is relatively slimmer overall. Its rig also allows for a more bent spine, doubly bent elbows, and natural body rotation based on orientation threshold.
  • Improved the editor tools.
  • Added the ability for players to change their key bindings.
  • Re-implemented and redid the inventory interface. A section of the inventory has a character model preview window, and allows for items to be dropped onto the character preview to equip them.
  • Added an attachment menu that is accessible by holding T while holding the item. A similar menu is also available from the inventory.
  • Added DualShock 4, Xbox One controller, and Steam Controller support.
  • Items are rigged with armatures for animation, and all items can now make use of the new attachment system.
  • Props can store and spawn with items. These props may also be locked, which can be unlocked via a code or a Key depending on the type of lock.
  • Items can be renamed and given custom descriptions via Name Tags.
  • Item stacks can be split while holding Ctrl, and items can be rotated in the inventory with R.
  • Added support for nested storage containers.
  • Items can have a combination of automatic details and manual descriptions.
  • Added the 7.62x51mm Firing Range Gun, which uses 7.62x51mm Sniper Mags chambered in 7.62x51mm Rounds.
  • Added Large Scope, which is found equipped to the 7.62x51mm Firing Range Gun. The scope has realistic scope indicators that use primitive line drawing rather than images to ensure pixel accuracy for reticles.
  • Bolt-action firearms must be manually bolted with R.
  • Players can manually choose the load order of bullets in magazines.
  • An accurate count of bullets can be visually seen inside of magazines.
  • Shotgun shells and bullet casings make different sounds as they land on different materials, such as into foliage or onto a metal surface.
  • Added player ragdolls.
  • Added a non-gun crosshair.
  • Players flinch in first-person when taking damage.
  • Implemented a three-dimensional muzzle flash.
